What it is
SynapTale reads a story the way a cartographer reads a landscape. Feed it a long book and it tracks every character, place, promise, and encounter chapter by chapter, then draws them as a temporal knowledge graph — nodes for the entities, edges for what they do to and with each other. The demo maps L. Frank Baum’s Oz series, all 180,000 words of it, so a public-domain classic you may know as a children’s tale becomes a network you can wander: click a central figure and watch the story’s relationships light up, or step through the chapters and see the world accumulate. It is an inviting way to feel how a narrative is really a system of connections — and a glimpse of how the same engine might one day power faithful translations and living encyclopedias of long fiction.
